Description

The Second Annual Access to Critical Cerebral Emergency Support Services (ACCESS) and Telemedicine Conference will enable participants to review best practices and discuss the benefits and challenges of providing timely access to neuro-emergent specialty care. There will also be an opportunity to network, share experiences and develop valuable partnerships that will provide support for neuro-emergent care to help serve the needs of rural communities.

Conference Objectives

  1. Discuss state and federal legislative initiatives for telemedicine.
  2. Discuss telemedicine development, strategic planning and sustainability by overcoming disparities in access to healthcare.
  3. Describe clinical management and interventions for stroke and traumatic brain injury.

Who Should Attend

The conference will be appropriate and recommended for emergency medical services, emergency medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, critical care clinicians and hospitalists. This conference is intended for all members of the healthcare team who want to provide better care by overcoming disparities in access to care throughout New Mexico.
