26th Annual Amazing Newborns Conference
The 26th Annual Amazing Newborns Conference titled Critical Curiosities Today and Tomorrow presents the opportunity for neonatal caregivers to learn about conditions ranging from neonatal infection risk to identifying and responding to surgical emergencies. This year’s conference will also host the first Annual New Mexico Neonatal Consortium, a collaborative project that brings the ideas and resources of Neonatologists, critical care nurses, respiratory therapy, and all members of the care team together to help improve the healthcare of all babies born in New Mexico.
At the conclusion of this conference, the participant should be able to:
- Apply concepts of infection recognition and treatment in the neonatal period.
- Summarize what the medical community can do to help protect neonates from harm through parent education and proper reporting of suspected abuse.
- Identify what represents a surgical emergency and the common treatment for stabilizing a neonate prior to surgical intervention.
We are offering a STABLE class at no extra charge Nov. 1, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, UNM Domenici Center, UNM North Campus. Space is limited to registered participant of the ANC conference. Contact Kathryn Romero, KRRomero@salud.unm.edu.
