Office of Program Evaluation, Education and Research

About

The Office of Program Evaluation, Education and Research (PEAR) is the internal evaluation team for the School of Medicine’s Undergraduate Medical Education curriculum. PEAR focuses primarily on curriculum evaluation for all three phases of the medical school curriculum and evaluates the process and impact of educational experiences on students, faculty, and the institution. PEAR’s scope of inquiry ranges from recruitment and admission of medical students to follow-up of graduates in residency to health care providers in practice. “Evaluation to improve” is a guiding principle that informs PEAR’s evaluation and research activities.
