The Office of Faculty Affairs and Career Development is a team of professionals dedicated to addressing the human resource needs of the SOM academic personnel through quality and responsive service. We support the career development of the faculty who are the consistent threads of the intellectual fabric advancing the academic missions of the School of Medicine.
The SOM Office of Faculty Affairs and Career Development is responsible for all faculty process involving existing faculty. This includes compensation, retention, leave, promotion, faculty development, policies, legal issues, rank and track, effort distribution, Volunteer Faculty and Letters of Academic titles etc. We are also charged with conducting all high level searches to include external and internal competitive searches for all Dean, Chair and Director positions.
